Intro
This page is full of birth stories. They are organized in chronological
order by birth date. I say a few words about every birth, so that you will know what
to expect when you read the story. Apart from the birth stories, there
are also age updates on some of the kids, so that you can watch them and
their parents and families grow.
The birth stories are organized chronologically by birth date. Here are the quick links
to the different birth years. You can also get there by just scrolling. If you are looking for a
particular kind of story, you can look the 'find in page' function of your web browser
to locate it. So if you are looking for vaginal births after cesareans, look for 'VBAC' and you'll
find the stories which cover that.
If you want to contribute your birth story, please send it to me at

Tell me when you have a home page that you would like me to link to from
the birth story. I also would appreciate a current update on the kid, so
I can add that too. A birth story without update is fine though.
If you have a picture you want me to include with the story, you can send it to me as an
attachment to the story. I will always email you after I have put up the story.
Why did I set up this page? Well, I really like to read birth
stories, and I know I am not the only one who enjoys reading them :-) But
I also like to read about these babies later, how they develop. I am part
of a June 96 moms list and it all started with setting up a page for them, also
with a lot of their birth stories. I enjoyed doing that and decided to
do the same for other people.
Who am I? I am Karen, 38yo, Dutch, but living in the States
(New Hampshire) right now. I have seven kids, Cees (pronounced as Case) is
13yo, Tim is 11yo, Tara is 8yo,
Jane is 7yo, Kate is 5yo, Erik is 3yo (I kept a weekly pregnancy journal for him,
called The Sixth Time!!! ) and Sylvia is 6mos. Their birth stories are on
this page too (just click on their names). Cees and Tim were born in the Netherlands. When we moved to the States,
I was hesistant about having a baby here, because I was afraid to go through
an American hospital birth. But luckily we found some wonderful homebirth
midwives and Tara was our first American birth . The girls and Erik were born

I also like to read about these babies later, how they develop. I am part
of a June 96 moms list and it all started with setting up a page for them, also
with a lot of their birth stories. I enjoyed doing that and decided to
do the same for other people.
