The Sixth Time

29 Weeks Prenatal

Yesterday, it was time for my 29 weeks prenatal. Or technically, my 28 weeks and 7 days one :-) This was the last monthly one, from now on they will be every two weeks. I am not sure whether I am ready for that yet.

Sander was able to make it to the prenatal, although he could only stay half an hour. But she made sure we did the listening and feeling of the baby while he was here, she pointed out all the baby parts to him and let him feel, really neat! Also, we all listened to the baby's heart with the fetoscope. The baby kept kicking the fetoscope!

I got handouts about 'preparing for the birth'. We also talked about who would be there and such, although I am not really decided on that yet. I do know that I want to use her Aquadoula this time, which is a real birthing tub. The last 2 times we used a kiddie pool, it will be nice to compare it to the Aquadoula. Somehow the birth still seems like something which is very far away, I haven't really thought about it that much yet.

She took blood to test for Rhesus antibodies, because I am Rhesus negative, and Sander is Rhesus positive. She also took some to test my Hb, that means one less finger stick. The kids were very fascinated to see my blood in the little test tubes. I wasn't that thrilled about it :-)

Overall it was a good visit, the kids behaved reasonably, not perfectly, but reasonably well :-) I gained 3 lbs, so that isn't too bad for 4 weeks.

Decluttering is still going strong, although more slowly. I am now at the phase where the master bed room looks great, but needs some finishing touches. I am doing things like reorganizing the inside of drawers. I found out that my husband has 93 socks in his socks drawer! He has a lot less now, but they are all matching and none has holes :-) Things like that take a lot of time, and when I was finished, the room still looked exactly the same! But at least I know it has been done.

I have started on Tara's room too, but that gets a lot of play, so one day the floor is totally empty, and 2 hours later, it is covered in toys again. The master bed room is less susceptible to that, although I have to admit that the boys have been building K'nex in there and that they are all over the room there now! :-) But underneath the K'nex, the room is clean and mostly decluttered.

I still feel great, full of energy and hoping to get my whole house decluttered before this new baby is there. I have to admit though that might be a little too much, but hey, at least I can try :-)
